The vivacious aromas and full texture in La Part Davant make this wine an excellent partner for gourmet cuisine.
More infoProduced from archetypal local varieties, La Part Davant is from a terroir rich in clay, flint and pudding stones. The grapes are cultivated organically, picked at optimum maturity and fermented with native yeasts. The wine is then matured for 8 months on the lees in barrique barrels and foudre tuns. On tasting, the vivacity of its flavour notes (fresh fruit, minerals) complements a palate with volume and plenty of fruit. This makes the wine the perfect partner for fish in sauce or white meat.

About the Producer Camin Larredya
Jean-Marc Grussaute has elevated his estate to the pinnacle of the Jurançon appellation, thanks to his eclectic production of both dry and sweet white wines. A bit of history: although the estate was acquired in 1900, it wasn’t until 1970 that the vines began to flourish, with the cultivation of Petit and Gros Manseng. Jean-Marc joined the family estate in 1988 to assist his mother. Today, he is supported by a dedicated team of around ten people. Covering 11 hectares, Camin Larredya (‘Camin,’ meaning ‘path’ in the local dialect) paves the way to excellence. Whether it’s dry or sweet white wine, the estate shines through its use of traditional Jurançon grape varieties: mainly Petit and Gros Manseng, complemented by Petit Courbu, Camaralet, and Lauzet. Certified organic since 2007, Jean-Marc Grussaute focuses on sustainable practices, with manual harvests and limited yields His approach, both in the vineyard and cellar, centres around expressing the purest character of the terroirs. This deep respect for nature is reflected in the names of the cuvées, inspired by the plots they come from. The Revue du Vin de France Guide edition of Best wines in France has awarded Jean-Marc Grussaute the prestigious third (and ultimate) star, a record for a winegrower from the South-West!
This is undoubtedly one of the top estates in the Pyrenean foothills, which the iDealwine team wholeheartedly recommends. Indeed, we’ve tasted Jean-Marc’s wines multiple times, and they never disappoint!
