The wine
This cuvée is matured for 17 months in oak barrels (35% new). It has a floral nose (rose, violet), fruity (cherry, pomegranate, raspberry) and medium-bodied on the palate. It is balanced and persistent, with silky tannins. This wine can be enjoyed from now or after a few years of aging.
About the Producer Felton Road
France is not the only country where a love of the terroir encourages winegrowers to adopt biodynamic practices, as has been demonstrated by the Felton Road domaine in Central Otago New Zealand since 2002. For twenty years, Nigel Greening's vineyard, which is split between four outstanding parcels, has been producing authentic, delicate wines while respecting the soil and vines. These wines set a benchmark, as is demonstrated by their 13th position in the Drinks International magazine rankings.
