Vin de France Sels d'argent L'Anglore 2017
The wine
Produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah farmed in Adélaïde. Bin 389 is nicknamed Baby Grange as it’s matured for one year in casks used for Grange, the domain’s top cuvée. This wine has incredible aging capacity. The first vintage as produced in 1960. Its colour is magenta with touches of violet. The Penfolds style is perceptible, with notes of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant and cherry); on the palate, it is balanced and evolves with aromas of cocoa.
About the Producer L'Anglore
Domaine de l'Anglore is a flagship natural domain of the moment. The estate spans 4 hectares in Tavel, renowned for its rosé production, and is managed by Eric Pfifferling. This former apicultor turned to winemaking after seeing his bees die because of the insecticides used in the region. He practiced biodynamic viticulture right from the beginning: the soils are tilled so as to preserve the natural balance between roots and 'weeds'. His rosés are considered among the best in the world.
