Clos Dubreuil Grand Cru Classé 1998
The wine
After the fermentation and maceration stages, which take four weeks, the wine is aged in new oak barrels for 18 months. Less powerful than some microwines produced in Saint Emilion, Clos Dubreuil charms with its concentrated aromas, exotic flavours, opulent character and superb length on the palate.
About the Producer Clos Dubreuil
This tiny property of slightly more than one hectare belongs to Benoit Trocard and is in Saint-Christophe des Bardes. The expression garage wine can certainly be applied here, on account of both the wine's rarity and its reputation. The wine is made under the supervision of Louis Mitjavile, the son of François Mitjavile (owner of Château Tertre Roteboeuf).
