Château Haut-Bergey 2005
The wine
The red wines have a rich texture. They reveal black fruit aromas associated with wood notes. Marked by their terroir, they offer beautiful harmony and remarkable finesse. The vines are cultivated reasonably. The grapes are harvested manually and sorted. The red wines are then aged for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels.
About the Producer Château Haut-Bergey
Château Haut-Bergey is located in Léognan and it dates from the 15th century. Sylviane Garcin, the sister of Daniel Cathiard (of Château Smith Haut-Lafitte), took over the property in the mid-90s. It has undergone some significant investments since then. The vineyard has become biodynamic, with the wines becoming ever more precise, light and delicate. This is a domain to follow closely, whether you're a fan of red or white.
