Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières Rémi Jobard (Domaine) 2017
The wine
Les Genevrières is a famous Meursault Climat. It has a fine nose with aromas of ripe fruit (especially pears) and hawthorn. The palate is dominated by its fruity and mineral qualities, it presents great depth and offers a delicately chiselled and slightly saline finish. This great Meursault should be aged for a few years in a cellar and then enjoyed with either fish or poultry of the finest quality.
About the Producer Rémi Jobard
The Jobard family has been producing wine in Meursault for many generations. In 1993, Rémi Jobard took over from his father Charles (he had already made his first vintage in 1991). The vineyard has been organic since 2005, certified since 2011 (conversion started in 2008). Rémi Jobard is a very talented winemaker, making delicate, smooth and supple Meursaults, which age with class and whose élevage is always neatly carried out. This area is one of the best of the appellation.
