Lot presentation

Pommard Les Noizons Jean Michelot 1997

The wine

Jean Michelot vinified his final bottle in 2011, the year of his passing. For years he created his ‘Les Noizons’ cuvées with a beautiful nose of black fruits like blackberry and blackcurrant, and a lovely freshness to bring it all together. The soft tannins give a supple texture on the palate, and the maturation in barrels provides a bit of fatty character, giving it a full-bodied structure.

About the Producer Jean Michelot

Domaine Michelot has belonged to the same family for 6 generations. Since the 1960s, its popularity has soared thanks to Bernard Michelot's strong personality. Nowadays, the vines span 19 hectares and are mostly found in Meursault. They are farmed with respect for nature, the wines are vinified traditionally and matured in oak casks. The proportion of new oak varies with each vintage.
