Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes Dujac (Domaine) 2001
The wine
The domaine's Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Aux Combottes has a rather dark ruby colour and, on the nose, offers pleasant, sweet notes of earth and fleshy red fruit. Medium-bodied and tannic, it wants for nothing in terms of complexity and charm.
About the Producer Dujac
Jacques Seysses created Domaine Dujac in 1968 by purchasing 4.5 hectares. He is also associated with Aubert de Villaine in the Var (Triennes). Today Jacques's children are the directors of the Domaine Dujac, Jeremy, his wife Diana (an American enologist) and Alec Seysses. The domaine, certified in organic farming, extends over 15 hectares in the largest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and especially Morey-Saint-Denis. The domaine's wines have excellent aging potential and are characterised by great complexity and delicacy.
