Beaune 1er Cru Les Cent Vignes Château de Meursault 2008
The wine
This premier cru is produced from limestone-clay soil with naturally good drainage. Young and old vines are grown here with great care. Harvesting is by hand and sorting is stringent, with parcel-based vinification in thermoregulated vats. The wine is matured for between 12 and 15 months in casks (25% new wood). This cuvée is marked by its refined tannins and intense fruitiness. It will easily keep (and improve delightfully) for around ten years.
