Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Tortochot (Domaine) 2014
The wine
This cru's reputation is global and is characterised by its terroir of limestone covered in clay-limestone scree. It exhales notes of undergrowth, coffee and black fruits. Structured by delicate tannins, this wine can be slightly austere in youth. Cellar for ten years or so; the wine will then reveal its full complexity and legendary finesse.
About the Producer Tortochot
Domaine Tortochot is a family domain located in Gevrey. A lover of Burgundy wine, Gabriel Tortochot ardently defends the region, especially given his role as the president of Gevrey-Chambertin's viticultural union. He passed down this passion to his two daughters, Brigitte and Chantal. At the age of 35, Chantal decided to take over the family business. Having qualified as an enological technician, she now produces wines that reflect their terroir thanks to careful viticulture.
