Sainte-Anne Brut Chartogne-Taillet
The wine
Cuvée Sainte-Anne is vinified in stainless steel vats, using native yeasts and no filtration. All the types of soil found in Merfy are represented, using vines aged about twenty years, and it is the maison's only non-vintage wine. A champagne which affords genuine pleasure!
About the Producer Chartogne-Taillet
The Taillet family has been settled in Champagne for many generations. The vineyard is located in Merfy, 8 km from Reims, on the Saint-Thierry massif, in the "small" Montagne de Reims. Since 2006, Alexandre Chartogne has taken over from his parents and, in just a few years, has managed to make great progress in the domain thanks to a focus on biodynamics, working on horseback to avoid soil compaction, extensive plot selection and planting vignes franches or free vines. In the cellar, Alexandre works with oak, stainless steel, amphora, and cement barrels. The result: skilfully and carefully made champagne, rooted in its terroir. A domain that continues to progress… follow it very closely!
