Morey Saint-Denis Dujac (Domaine) 2013
The wine
Morey Saint-Denis also produces superb Chardonnays. The production is exclusive, and highly prized by connoisseurs. On the palate, the wines have a substance reminiscent of the Côte de Beaune, but with a slightly higher acidity. The Domaine Dujac's white Morey-Saint-Denis is a fruity wine (citrus aromas), with great length. It is always a pleasure to sample this wine in a blind tasting with other great whites from the Côte de Beaune.
About the Producer Dujac
Jacques Seysses created Domaine Dujac in 1968 by purchasing 4.5 hectares. He is also associated with Aubert de Villaine in the Var (Triennes). Today Jacques's children are the directors of the Domaine Dujac, Jeremy, his wife Diana (an American enologist) and Alec Seysses. The domaine, certified in organic farming, extends over 15 hectares in the largest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and especially Morey-Saint-Denis. The domaine's wines have excellent aging potential and are characterised by great complexity and delicacy.
