About the Producer Gramenon
Domaine Gramenon was created in 1979 on the slopes of Montbrision-su-Lez in the southern Rhône. Its founders Phillipe Laurent and Michèle Aubéry started with 12 hectares but have gradually expanded to 26 hectares; They cultivate Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Viognier and Clairette. They benefit from a limestone rich terroir and an altitude that confers great freshness to the wines. Following Philippe's death in 1999, Michèle took over the whole business with the help of his son Maxime François Laurent. Convinced that good grapes make good wine, the father son duo practice biodynamic viticulture. Yields are controlled and the soil is ploughed. The wines are sought after for their freshness and brightness. Certain cuvées can be drunk young while others need a few years in the cellar.
