Brunello di Montalcino Conti Costanti DOCG 1981
The wine
Conti Costanti's Brunello is a deep, well-structured wine with aromas of black berries, cedar and rosemary on the nose. In the mouth, the tannins are abundant yet refined. A wine with significant ageing potential.
About the Producer Conti Costanti
Located on the outskirts of the village of Montalcino, the Colle al Matrichese de Conti Costanti vineyard produces some of the most sought-after wines in the Brunello di Montalcino DOC, including the ultra-scarce Riserva. The Costanti family is intimately associated with the history of the village as it was involved in the wars between Florence and Sienna. The Costanti were ennobled in 1711 by the court of Venice for their bravery. Since then, from father to son, the family has been a standard bearer for the vineyard both in Italy and internationally. Andrea Costanti has been at the helm of the domaine since 1983. Wines have become even more delicate and complex.
