Château Nenin 1970
The wine
Blessed with a bright colour, it develops a fruity, fresh and floral nose. On the palate it is perfectly structured and rounded, with notes of cherries and chocolate. Its tannins are rich with great length. Sometimes austere when young, it is a superb Pomerol, concentrated and sophisticated which matures gracefully.
About the Producer Château Nenin
Since its purchase in 1997 by the owners of Léoville-Las cases, Nénin has joined the ranks of Pomerol's great wines. The vineyard consists of gravel on an iron-rich soil, and thanks to a return to traditional methods, the resulting wine is now more complex and powerful.Only 30% to 40% of grapes are selected for the grand vin. The remainder is destined for the second wine: La Fugue de Nénin. Eric Boissenot is the consultant oenologist.
