Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet Ramonet (Domaine) 2004
The wine
In Chassagne-Montrachet, the Ramonet estate produces a number of appellations that are renowned in the Côte de Beaune area. In the 1930s, Pierre Ramonet introduced the estate to American connoisseurs, allowing the estate to gradually acquire an international reputation. White Puligny-Montrachet wines are known for their distinguished character. This Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Champs Canets is no exception to the rule. Refined and elegant, it reveals delicate aromas of white flowers. On the palate, it stands out thanks to excellent length.
About the Producer Ramonet
Jean-Claude and Noël safeguard the 17-hectare property created bit by bit by their grandfather Pierre Ramonet in the 1920s, a Burgundian figure. Noël (in the cellar) and Jean-Claude (in the vineyard) took over the domain in 1984. They are the third generation and want to get the best out of the terroir. It is one of the most renowned domain of the appellation for both quality and finesse of its wines.
