Barolo DOCG Le Vigne Luciano Sandrone 2004
The wine
Luciano Sandrone's "Le Vigne" Barolo is a blend from four parcels which are different in terms of altitude, soil and exposure. Each batch is vinified separately before all being matured for 24 months in barrels and 20 months in bottles. It is produced with the intention of giving it genuine potential for keeping.
About the Producer Luciano Sandrone
The Luciano Sandrone domaine was created in 1978 in the heart of the village of Barolo in the Piedmont. Luciano’s wines have rapidly established an international reputation. The vineyard spans 27 hectares planted with Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo and the domaine is worked without chemicals, although it does not have organic accreditation. Ageing is carried out in 500-litre barrels to preserve the subtlety of the wines. They have a distinctive intense fruity flavour and velvety tannins.
