Savennières L'Enclos Eric Morgat 2004
The wine
This beautiful, yellow Savennières becomes more golden as it evolves. The nose offers up delicate and varied aromas of white flowers, citrus and white fleshed fruits, and quince. The palate reveals the same flavours, with a prominent mineral quality for balance. It is pleasingly creamy and has enough body to pair well with full-flavoured dishes and be suitable for ageing.
About the Producer Eric Morgat
Eric Morgat hails from a family of winemakers from Angers who cultivate vines in the Coteaux du Layon appellation. When he was 25 years old, he decided to set off on his own adventure, founding his own domain in 1995. He began by buying uncultivated and abandoned land. The domain now spans 6 hectares of Chenin.
