Tavel Vintage L'Anglore 2017
The wine
This cuvée comes from a unique terroir. Indeed, vines of Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette, Carignan and Mourvèdre, at around 70 years of age, are planted together. The owner of the domain practices an élevage of 12 months in barrels in order to give a richness, elegance, and good aging capacity to a wine that is already rich in floral, spiced and minty notes.
About the Producer L'Anglore
Domaine de l'Anglore is a flagship natural domain of the moment. The estate spans 4 hectares in Tavel, renowned for its rosé production, and is managed by Eric Pfifferling. This former apicultor turned to winemaking after seeing his bees die because of the insecticides used in the region. He practiced biodynamic viticulture right from the beginning: the soils are tilled so as to preserve the natural balance between roots and 'weeds'. His rosés are considered among the best in the world.
