Château Le Gay 1981
The wine
Château Le Gay produces a concentrated, full-bodied Pomerol. It needs to be kept for at least ten years so that its tannins can soften and reveal a magnificent velvety fleshiness and clean finish.
About the Producer Château Le Gay
What gives Château le Gay its strength is undoubtedly that its terroir is located next door to Lafleur. Up until her death in 2013, Catherine Péré-Vergé worked to raise Le Gay so that it became one of the finest crus of this appellation. Her very talented son Henri Parent now looks after the cru, with Michel Rolland as consultant. The estate’s second wine is called Manoir de Gay
