Clos de la Roche Grand Cru La Pousse d'Or (Domaine de) 2014
The wine
Clos-de-la-Roche is élevaged in oak for 15 months. It exudes intense aromas of red and dark fruits (cherry, blackcurrant). The palate reveals a very nice structure and beautifully ripe tannins.
About the Producer Domaine de la Pousse d'Or
The famous historical domaine of Volnay, the Pousse d'Or has an exceptional vineyard with many premier and grand crus. Previously owned by Gérard Potel, it is now in the hands of Patrick Landanger. The vineyard tends to come close to organic farming and the winemaking process is carried out smoothly, in the most natural way possible and élevage is understated (with a low proportion of new casks). The quality of this work means they can produce wines with remarkable aromatic expression and excellent aging potential.
