Pommard Domaine Alain Creusefond 1994
The wine
Pommard, along with Chablis, has the privilege of figuring among the most renowned Burgundy appellations overseas. Victor Hugo was particularly fond of Pommard, which grows in clay-limestone ferruginous soil that produces a well-structured, tannic wine, with multiple aromas evoking blackcurrant, plum, pepper and leather. Designed for a long cellaring, this wine is undoubtedly one of the strongest Burgundy crus.
