Meursault 1er Cru Charmes Prieur Brunet 1999
About the Producer Prieur Brunet
Established in 1804 upon the purchase of Château Perruchot by brothers Claude and Jean Prieur, the family domain became the present vineyard in 1955 when Elisabeth Brunet, originally from Meursault, married Guy Prieur, a native of Santenay. The domain, rooted in Santenay, includes 20 hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines, on averaging 35 years of age. In 2004, Guillaume, the grandson of Elisabeth and Guy, joined the family business and took over the reins of the domain, affiliated to the emblematic wine merchant Louis Jadot since 2015. From the very beginning, the domain has been particularly attentive to preserving the soil and biodiversity, allowing the vines to draw all the minerals they need to defend themselves naturally and effectively from the soil. A reference in Santenay, the domain produces accomplished, fragrant and remarkable cuvées, which the greatest Burgundy wine connoisseurs will never cease to praise.
