Arbois Trousseau Cuvée St-Paul Camille Loye 1989
About the Producer Camille Loye
Domaine Camille Loye is one of the most renowned vineyards in the Jura winegrowing landscape. The winemaker retired in 1990 and the domain is no longer in operation. The domain’s vintages, which have become collectors’ items and are available in limited quantities, delight enthusiasts and those nostalgic for the domain’s glory days. The winemaker grew grape varieties symbolic of the region, such as Trousseau. Convinced that the right balance between human and the land was essential to producing high quality grapes and great wines, Camille cultivated his vines with the greatest respect for the soil and biodiversity. Each parcel received specific care depending on its needs, to allow the personality of each one to shine through. Winemaking practices also involved as little intervention as possible, and sulphur was added in minute quantities to allow each wine to reflect the flavours of the Jura grape varieties perfectly and naturally.
