Bourgogne François Mikulski Côte d'Or 2020
The wine
Produced from a parcel located just on the edge of the Meursault appellation, this white Burgundy nevertheless very much resembles the wines of that prestigious AOC; its terroir also consists of a sub-soil of limestone blocks. It also shares its neighbour's typical aromatic character: aromas of hazelnut, almond, white fruit and smoky notes. The palate is astonishing, with its great density, remarkable richness and beautiful balance.
About the Producer François Mikulski
François Mikulski created his domaine in Meursault with his wife Marie-Pierre in 1991. The vineyard consists of four plots of premier crus (Genevrières, Charmes, Poruzot and Goutte d''Or). Great attention is paid to the vineyards which are managed in an environmentally friendly way. Wines mature for 16 to 18 months in the barriques, of which rarely more than 20% are new. The whole range has great quality, offering depth, complexity and finesse.
