Morey Saint-Denis Dujac (Domaine) 2006
The wine
Located at the outlet of the Combe Grisard valley, at an altitude of between 240 and 380 metres, the vineyards in which Morey-Saint-Denis Village is produced are clustered around the commune. Domaine Dujac has been one of the best ambassadors for Morey wines in the world. Less full bodied than their Gevrey neighbours, they have an extra charm, especially in their youth. This cuvée is the finest illustration of this fact.
About the Producer Dujac
Jacques Seysses created Domaine Dujac in 1968 by purchasing 4.5 hectares. He is also associated with Aubert de Villaine in the Var (Triennes). Today Jacques's children are the directors of the Domaine Dujac, Jeremy, his wife Diana (an American enologist) and Alec Seysses. The domaine, certified in organic farming, extends over 15 hectares in the largest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and especially Morey-Saint-Denis. The domaine's wines have excellent aging potential and are characterised by great complexity and delicacy.
