Château Duhart-Milon 4ème Grand Cru Classé 1971
The wine
Duhart-Milon is a classic Pauillac. It perfectly combines concentration and elegance. The palate is straight with spice notes. You can really feel the “Lafite” touch. These wines are worth keeping for several years in order to experience their full aromatic power.
About the Producer Château Duhart-Milon
Located to the west of the Mouton and Lafite vineyards, Duhart-Milon lies on gravelly soil with a height difference of more than ten metres. The purchase of the property by the (Lafite) Rothschild family in 1962, brought an end to a rapid succession of owners (five in 25 years) that had left the vineyard in an pitiful state. With the arrival of the Lafite Rothschild teams to care for the vines and supervise the vinification, the wines' consistency steadily increased. By 1978 the quality had markedly improved and the wine has been of a very high standard since 1982.
