Chambolle-Musigny Confuron-Cotetidot 2014
The wine
This wine is from a clay-chalk terroir with scree and silt running through it that is exposed to the east. In the cellar, the Pinot Noir juice undergoes lengthy vatting and long maturation in barrels. The wine presented here reveals all the delicate, sensuous and fine character of the Pinot Noir grape. Its tannins are elegant, and the palate is gentle. A wine to be enjoyed in seven to eight years.
About the Producer Confuron-Cotetidot
Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot located in Vosne-Romanée, was created by Jack Confuron in 1964. Today it is managed by his sons, Jean-Pierre and Yves, both enologists. The vineyard extends over 11 hectares in Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Echézeaux, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée. The winemaking is done with entire bunches of grapes, harvested to perfect maturity, producing absolutely remarkable Burgundy wines, which are very fine, frank and complex. The grapes are harvested when very ripe but the wines are always perfectly balanced. The domaine is at the top of the Côte de Nuits.
