Château Pomys Cru Bourgeois 1998
The wine
Its wine combines the power of a Saint Estèphe with tremendous elegance, underscored by refined aromas of blackcurrants and leather.
About the Producer Château Pomys
This château's vineyard was classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932. It lies between Marbuzet and Leysac. In 2017, Michel Reybier, the owner of Cos d'Estournel, announced the purchase of Pomys. In his view, “the purchase of Château Pomys is a reference to the property's history. It aims to recreate the architectural whole which the founder desired”. Indeed Château Pomys was part of the assets inherited by Louis Gaspard d'Estournel in 1791. Having invested all his fortune in Cos, he lived at Pomys. Followed by his new teams, this is the cru to follow for future vintages.
