Pommard 1er Cru La Chanière François d'Allaines 2018
About the Producer François d'Allaines
Established in 1996, the estate is located a few kilometers from the emblematic Burgundy communes of Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. After a comprehensive hospitality course and studying viticulture in college, François spent three years polishing his skills in a wine trading house in Beaune. He created his own trading business in 1990, acquiring and selling carefully selected wines. Six years on, François’s decision to vinify his own grapes marked a new turning point in the history of the business. Regardless of whether the fruit is sourced from his own vines in Santenay, Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet or Pommard, or come from partner winemakers, he always strives to produce distinctive, fragrant and authentic wines, each with its own personality. To ensure the terroir and grape variety express their full potential, he prioritises the balance and purity of each cuvée throughout the winemaking process.
