Château Beau Site Haut Vignoble Cru Bourgeois 2005
The wine
The vines have an average age of just over 30 years; their low yields ensure that the wines have good concentration. The tannin structure of Château Beau Site Haut Vignoble's wines needs a few years in the cellar before tasting in order to appreciate its full finesse.
About the Producer Château Beau Site Haut Vignoble
The history of this property begins in 1861. At that time, Pierre Braquessac had a prosperous business transporting coal, for which he used teams of oxen. He gradually invested his profits in the purchase of vines and the construction of a château in the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The family then began to make wine, and today it is Jean-Louis and Pierre Braquessac who manage the property.
Formed through a series of acquisitions over the generations, the estate now has 19 hectares spread over the entire Saint-Estèphe appellation. The resulting wine is thus a good reflection of the terroir. The traditional planting consists of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
