Lot presentation

Porto Burmester Vintage 1937

The wine

This Porto Vintage from the Burmester estate is the product of a traditional vinification method and a long élevage in barrels and bottles. Thus, it offers a mature profile through a ruby hue with garnet undertones, as well as an aromatic bouquet marked by notes of cacao and coffee. The tannins are soft, bringing a supple and generous texture. We advise you to decant this wine at least two hours before serving.

About the Producer Burmester

Since the middle of the 18th century, Burmester’s mission has been to export its superb Portos that are made following the art of the traditional method. Matured at length in oak barrels, what makes these wines so alluring is their complexity and nobility. Enthusiasts rejoice: the Burmester estate produces Portos of all types: Tawny, Ruby, and White, as well as top of the range bottles such as LBVs (Late Bottled Vintages), vintages, and Colheitas.
