Corton Grand Cru Les Bressandes Nudant 1999
About the Producer Nudant
The winemaking history of the Nudant family is extremely rich with evidence of Guillaume Nudant d’Aloxe Corton, a very ambitious winemaker, dating back to 1453. There is also evidence of André Nudant proving himself in the Ladoix winegrowing region, with records dating back to 1747. During the 1950s, another winemaker by the name of André Nudant considerably developed the family estate. His son Jean-René joined him in 1978, joined in turn by his son Guillaume twenty-five years later. Today, the vineyard stretches between the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, covering some 16 hectares across around twenty appellations. The estate is convinced of the benefits of integrated viticulture for both its vines and its wines. Yields are carefully controlled, the soil is tilled frequently and chemical fertilisers are banned. This day-to-day approach allows them to produce authentic, fragrant cuvées that reflect the diversity of the Burgundy terroir.
