This wine is produced from vines planted between 1953 and 1981. The berries are harvested by hand and cold-macerated for a few days before fermentation. After that, the wine is matured in barrels (30% new wood) for 16 months. With its concentrated tannins, this cru is a faithful reflection of its clay-rich, Morgeot terroir. Cherry and morello aromas give it additional complexity and fullness. Drink this delicious Chassagne-Montrachet within 15 years- it will make a heavenly pairing with either feathered game or the local cheeses.
