When you hear these words spoken by Aubert de Villaine, owner of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, you understand that this legendary cru made between Vougeot and Chambolle occupies a special place in the history of Burgundy. Its red clay soil produces the finest Pinot Noir anywhere in Burgundy. The Domaine de la Vougeraie owns two rows in the Les Musigny vineyard, amounting to a total of 21 ares. These plots have been farmed according to biodynamic principles since 2001. The bouquet is deep, with several levels of complexity gradually becoming apparent. Obviously, the mouth is where the incomparable tactile nature of this wine really captivates the drinker. A legend that every wine connoisseur needs to have tasted at least once.
