Ribera del Duero Malleolus de Sanchomartin Bodegas Emilio Moro 2016
The wine
This tiny one-hectare parcel in the very old Pago de Sanchomartin vineyard produces tannic but pleasantly acidic wines from vines that were planted in 1964. The wine has excellent ageing potential but as soon as it is opened it fully expresses its terroir and shows incredible aromatic persistence.
About the Producer Bodegas Emilio Moro
The Emilio Moro domaine has been growing vines for three generations and has built up its credentials in the Ribera del Duero on the basis of hard work, dedication and humility. The limestone and clay soils rise to between 750 and 1,000 metres above sea level, giving this wine a potent personality!
