Lot presentation

Vin de France Cuvée G Hirotake Ooka - Domaine La Grande Colline 2010

The wine

After having worked for a few years with Thierry Allemand, Hirotake Ooka decided to establish his own production with a few hectares of vines and a parallel, merchant business.
G is the best-recognised cuvée from this domain at the heart of the natural wine movement. This producer carries out incredibly thorough work; treatments in the vineyard have been reduced almost to zero, and no additives are used during vinification.
This pure Grenache cuvée is fresh with a lovely balance and a hint of indulgence. It is a notably fruity wine, juicy and delicate. Hirotake recommends decanting the cuvée a few hours before tasting it for its palate to be optimal.
