Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Leroy SA 1971
The wine
The Clos de la Roche is the largest cru area in Morey Saint Denis. Its wines usually have a lovely colour and rich aromas of red and dark fruit (wild cherries and blackcurrant). The Clos de la Roche has fine structure and good ageing potential. Nevertheless it is also a lovely wine in its earlier years due to the maturity of its tannins and well-defined flavours.
