Château Talbot 4ème Grand Cru Classé 2004
The wine
The wines, vinified with the precious advice of the legendary wine consultant Jacques Boissenot (who died in 2014) and Stéphane Derenoncourt, are consistently rich and extremely elegant. Their open character and silky tannins enable them to be enjoyed young, and also to be kept in the cellar for many years. With time, they develop a delicate, complex aromatic bouquet of cedar and Havana tobacco.
About the Producer Château Talbot
A property within the Cordier estates, the Château Talbot has always been considered the twin brother of the Château Gruaud Larose. Located to the north of the latter, Talbot rubs shoulders with the vines of Léoville Poyferré. Its sweeping contiguous vineyard lies on gravel with a calcareous subsoil.
