Lot presentation
Domaine de l'A 2019
The wine
Deep and intense, this wine develops a particularly expressive nose, with aromas of ripe red fruit and stone-fruit. The palate offers a perfect balance between suppleness and structure, and between concentration and roundedness. A smooth, generous wine that exudes charm and finesse.
About the Producer Domaine de l'A
Created in 1989, Côtes de Castillon is a young appellation that covers the fomer Bordeaux-Côtes de Castillon area and includes nine communes. There are two main types of terroir: a plain, which gives warm, supple wines, and then a slope and plateau that offer a more structured production, with a greater capacity to improve with age. Owned by Stéphane Derenoncourt, Domaine de l'A is one of the appellation's flagship wines. This self-taught winemaker, originally from Dunkirk, arrived in Fronsac in 1982, and worked as a consultant for several prestigious properties, including Pavie-Macquin and Comte Von Neipperg (Canon La Gaffelière). In 1999 he and his wife decided to acquire their own vineyard.
