Château Anthonic Cru Bourgeois 1996
The wine
Mainly composed with Merlot, associated to Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Anthonic is a classic, round, fruity Moulis to drink quite young. It has licorice and spice aromas.
About the Producer Château Anthonic
The vineyard of Château Anthonic, located in Moulis on a clay-siliceous ground, is one of the oldest in the commune. This cru is already mentioned in 1850, under the name of Puy-de-Minjon. It is then called Graves-Queytignan and in 1922, that of castle Anthonic. In 1932, it was classified as a superior cru bourgeois in the Médoc cru bourgeois classification. It remained a superior cru bourgeois when revised in June 2003. Currently, Anthonic produces very typical wines, among the best in the commune.
