Château Tour Pibran Cru Bourgeois 1988
The wine
Pibran’s second wine is a Pauillac to drink relatively young. Its main grape variety is Merlot, round and sweet. It encompasses the typical nature of the terroir of Pauillac especially the graphite minerality. Lay down from between three to ten years for optimum quality.
About the Producer Château Pibran
Pibran is located very near the domaines of Mouton Rothschild, Pontet-Canet and Lynch-Bages. The 10ha vineyard of this renowned cru lies on one of the finest hilltops in the commune of Pauillac, in the Médoc. Acquired by AXA Millésimes, (which also owns Pichon-Baron in Pauillac) it thus benefits from the expertise of an experienced team and advanced technology. This domaine has proved itself to be a true Pauillac. Thanks to the investments allowed by AXA Millésimes and the expertise of the teams of Pichon-Baron, the wines of Pibran are increasingly refined. Its prices remain fair considering the appellation so connoisseurs will be interested. The domaine’s second wine is called la Tour Pibran.
