Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Rapet Père & Fils 2017
The wine
The vines flourish in a soil of gravel and sand, giving wines that are fruity and tannic. The grapes are handled with utmost care. After 15 days of fermentation with pigeage, the wine is matured in oak barrels. This is a wine with undeniable finesse and sumptuous, fruity aromas. Round and mellow, its has an elegant, tannic profile. Meats and cheeses will make for perfect accompaniments.
About the Producer Rapet Père & Fils
Domaine Rapet Père et Fils, is a very old family domaine in Pernand-Vergelesses (confirmed by an engraved 1765 tastevin). The vineyard extends over 20 hectares, spread between Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-les-Beaune, Chorey-les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Beaune. It is managed in a sustainable and responsible manner to minimise phytosanitary treatments. The wines are of a modern style and express the typical nature of their terroir well; they are all the more interesting as prices remain reasonable.
