Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine Gabbro Jérôme Bretaudeau - Domaine de Bellevue 2018
The wine
Le Gabbro is made with Muscadet cultivated on a terroir of igneous rock. Unsurprisingly it is very mineral in character and enhanced by citrus and white fruit notes, a pleasing hint of creaminess and a mouthwateringly saline finish.
About the Producer Domaine de Bellevue
Jérôme Bretaudeau acquired 9 hectares of vines in Gétigné in the early 2000s. After a few more purchases, his estate totalled 10 hectares of organically cultivated vines by 2005. This is a leading light of the appellation and a sound investment.
