The wine
These wines are fleshy and balanced with a superb velvety smoothness on the palate. They develop ripe fruit aromas and have serious cellaring potential.
About the Producer Château Langoa Barton
The history of Langoa Barton is inextricably associated with that of Léoville Barton as Hugh Barton, the grandson of an Irish wine merchant who settled in Bordeaux, first bought the Langoa domaine and then part of the Léoville domain. These two famous Saint-Julien vineyards still belong to the Barton-Sartorius family. The Château Langoa-Barton vineyard, which was classified Third Growth in 1855, is located to the East of Château Talbot and North of Ducru-Beaucaillou. Léoville Barton and Langoa Barton are vinified in the same winery and share a second wine: La Réserve de Léoville Barton.
