Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Aux Beaux Bruns Thierry Mortet (Domaine) 2002
The wine
Les Beaux Bruns is a climat of the Chambolle-Musigny appellation, reputed for the silky and graceful nature of its wines. On this clay-chalk terroir, the 20-year-old Pinot Noir vines offer a yield of 45hl/ha. The domain opts for a 16-month maturation in a mixture of new and used barrels. This wine has a superb structure and persists well on the palate. Its soft tannins and the intensity of its aromas give it excellent ageing potential of over 10 years.
About the Producer Thierry Mortet
Brother of Denis Mortet, Thierry Mortet founded his domain in 1992. The vineyard now spans 8.5 hectares farmed organically (conversion in 2007).
