Riesling Château Belà Egon Muller 2020

The wine

This Riesling is an indulgent, fruity wine with an attractive tension. It offers an expressive nose with aromas of exotic fruits (especially passion fruit) and citrus, along with floral, chalky notes. The soft attack gives way to an acid palette, with attractive bitterness and flavours of honey and flowers, creating a great supple balance overall, with a very pleasant length. This is a wine whose finesse and minerality makes it perfect as an accompaniment to refined seafood dishes (oysters, shellfish, fish).

About the Producer Egon Müller Château Bela

Château Belá is located in Slovakia, on the left bank of the Danube. The château was acquired in 1999 by the family of Egon Müller’s wife, who invested heavily in it. The sloping vineyards are exposed due south and have limestone soil. Miloslav Petrec is the cellar master, working in collaboration with Egon Müller. The domaine produces some of the finest Rieslings in the country, as well as straw wines and ice wines since 2009. The domaine’s wines are very popular and widely exported.
