About the Producer Bodega Ossian
Bodega Ossian domaine belongs to Javier Zaccagnini (who also owns the renowned Bodega Aalto in Ribera del Duero) and Ismael Gozalo. Located in Nieva, in the heart of the Rueda region (north of Madrid), the 30-hectare vineyard boasts pre-phylloxera non-grafted vines, ranging in age from 100 to 200 years, which is absolutely exceptional! The sandy soil forces the vines to extract water from the clay subsoil almost 8 metres below ground and an altitude of between 840 and 930 metres above sea level gives the wine a touch of freshness. White wines from this domaine are reputed to be among the finest in Spain.
