This Tuscan wine will seduce you with the pronounced aromas it develops after a few years of cellaring.
More infoDomain Antinori was founded in 1895 and it is the birthplace of the Tignanello wine, the first vintage of which came to fruition in 1970. The wine in question found great success abroad just a few years later. This is a fine, Tuscan cuvée made of Sangiovese (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) and Cabernet Franc (5%). It is matured in French oak barrels for 14 months. In the glass, this wine has an intense, ruby colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe, red fruits come to the fore. Tignanello is sought primarily for its structure and intense aromatics. Particularly fruity, it is at once powerful, rich and refined, with strong tannins and good persistence on the palate. It is a delightful cuvée as soon as it is bottled, though it still has good aging potential. It should be served at around 16°C. Some food pairing ideas include beef, tournedos Rossini and lamb.

About the Producer Antinori
Antinori. This true Italian dynasty had been producing wine since 1385.
The family which can trace its history back to 1179 when Accarisio di Antinoro bought land from the Abbey of Passignano. Badia a Passignano is still one of a number of domains found in the group today which is spread out over Tuscany, Umbria, Piedmont, Lombardy, Puglia and even outside of Italy.
In the 1960s and 1970s, the family participated in the Super Tuscan revolution – wine for ageing made in the style of the great Bordeaux. Today, after 26 generations, the story continues with Albiera Antinori who is supported by his sisters, Allegra et Alessia, following their father, Marchese Piero Antinori.
The Italian domains are: TENUTA TIGNANELLO, BADIA A PASSIGNANO, PèPPOLI, ANTINORI NEL CHIANTI CLASSICO, PIAN DELLE VIGNE, TENUTA GUADO AL TASSO, CASTELLO DELLA SALA, MARCHESE ANTINORI – TENUTA MONTENISA, VILLA ANTINORI. The family also has vines outside of Italy in Chili, USA, Hungary, Romania and Malta.
