Virtual Tasting With Château Carmes Haut-Brion (Set Of 3x 5cl Bottles) Asia Only

iDealwine is delighted to launch its first virtual wine tasting experience in English, a vertical tasting from Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion. A celebration of Lunar New Year, this experience is currently reserved for clients in Asia.

By purchasing this tasting kit, you will gain access to our event with special guest Guillaume Pouthier, Director of Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion. It will include an introduction to the Château, you will hear all about its illustrious past and innovative present, unusual vinification, and the winemaking approach of Guillaume Pouthier, oenologist and engineer extraordinaire. We will then move on to the best part, the tasting. The event will last approximately 1 hour, and will be followed by a Q&A.
The tasting kit includes 3 x 5cl (50ml) bottles.
1. 2007 – the mature vintage
2. 2014 – the classic vintage
3. 2016 – the standout vintage
To join this virtual event, simply do the following:
- Add this at-home tasting kit to basket. To ensure timely delivery, the last day to order is Feburary 8th.
- When completing your order, be sure to chose “click and collect” in our Colombes location. This will ensure you don't pay delivery fees.
- Once your order is paid, you will receive a confirmation email of your purchase. Details of the virtual tasting, including how to join, how to serve your wine, how to submit questions in advance will be emailed in advance of February 19th.

About the Producer Château les Carmes Haut-Brion

Located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation to the south-west of Bordeaux, Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion has garnered a reputation as one of the most innovative châteaux in the area. From 1584 to 1789 it was owned by Carmelite monks, who first established their reputation for good wine. During the French Revolution it was seized then sold at auction. Acquired by the Chantecailles, it remained in the family for over a hundred years. Today, the uber-modern Philippe Starck designed cellar firmly cements Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion's place as a forward-thinking 21st century producer. Owners Patrice and Diane Pichet have been the driving force in its reputation as one of the most dynamic properties of Pessac-Léognan in recent years, as well as Guillaume Pouthier, whose experience as an engineer and oenologist stands out for the practices he has implemented, both in its cellaring and winemaking (wines boast a highly unusual 40% share of Cabernet Franc).
